Kris Boyd’s incredible Celtic star ‘must do better’ criticism after St Johnstone win

Yeah we won the game on Saturday. I think we did *checks phone*.

Yep, definitely won the game 2-1 but you would never know it when you look at some of the coverage over the last few days.

Especially when you look at what Kris Boyd says here.

Speaking after the match on Sky Sports, Boyd said that Stephen Welsh must do better at the St Johnstone goal, “It’s something people have looked at as an opportunity to exploit Celtic.

“Cameron Carter-Vickers coming back in, there’s no doubt you see his aggression, the way you go and attack it.

“But when you look at Stephen Welsh he doesn’t even jump. That’s your centre-back. You’ve at least got to go and challenge but he’s just standing still there. You’ve got to do better.”

But when you look at the video of the goal, tell me what could Welsh have done to prevent it?

The ball is nowhere near Welsh when it is played towards the penalty box.

Unless the Hoops defender has an Inspector Gadget neck, he can jump all he wants but he’s getting nowhere near the ball no matter how high he jumps.

This just smacks of typical Boyd getting it absolutely wrong again whenever he analyses a Celtic game.

No impartiality. No sense. Absolutely no clue.

And we need to suffer this for the next 5 years………

  1. I love listening to Boyd crying and pathetic whining, he hasn’t a clue. Free comedy.
