Why Borna Barisic and Jack Butland where fighting with Rangers fans ahead of Celtic game

Ibrox Stadium

The build up to the Glasgow Derby is always fraught with manufactured controversy or some made up story about Celtic losing a player.

It’s as boring as it is predictable as the Scottish media peddle their succulent lamb pieces of nonsense from their Ibrox sources.

Yesterday we spoke about a superb rumour about Alex Rae where it is alleged that he was trading blows with Fabio Silva after Rangers’ win over Kilmarnock.

It’s not known if this is true or not but a couple of well known social media both shared the same speculation so, fingers crossed.

One story we know is true however, is that Rangers defender Borna Barisic and goalkeeper, Jack Butland, were both caught having an argument with a Rangers fan outside the stadium.

Both players were signing autographs when Barisic turned for an unknown reason and started gesticulating with an Ibrox supporter.

And the reason for this was shared on Follow Follow:

The entire thread were this was revealed was full of Rangers fans saying that this is a regular occurrence after games.

In fact, the thread went as far as saying that the players are subjected to all sorts of vitriol from the stands and it seems that Saturday was just too much.

The title race with Celtic is clearly taking its toll on the Ibrox club and God only knows what kind of madness will ensue if (or when) Celtic beat Rangers in Paradise this weekend.
