Glum Philippe Clement, furious Rangers fans, superb full-time meltdown as Celtic handed massive title advantage

Ibrox Stadium

Beautiful Sunday has now turned into a Wonderful Wednesday after Rangers bottled it at Dundee and handed Celtic a massive advantage in the race for the Scottish Premiership.

Philippe Clement‘s team were under some serious pressure heading into their final game and hand after a Dingwall capitulation made tonight’s game a Dens Park a must-win fixture.

Despite the build-up of the week consisting of the Rangers camp telling us all that they were ready to put this right and Clement coming out with some strange comments in his pre-match Dundee press conference, Rangers bottled it.

Rangers bottle it and their fans are furious

And at full-time, Clement’s face says it all as does the fans who made the trip to Dundee to offer their support to their wobbling heroes.

Have a watch of this:

This level of abuse was the same as the Rangers manager and their team suffered right after full-time at Dingwall and the Belgian must be wondering exactly what he’s gotten himself into.

Lauded as a hero and with the Scottish press fawning all over him, Clement could do no wrong in his first few months at the club.

But recently he has looked out of his depth as Brendan Rodgers went quietly about his business to obliterate the anti-Celtic narrative that surrounded him and his team over the last few months.

And the best part of tonight? Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Hearts takes a whole new complexion.

If Clement loses that, the meltdown we have witnessed over the last four days will pale in comparison.

So grab a few beers and some popcorn because the last few weeks of the season are really hotting up now.
