“Bottom of the barrel stuff”, “Outstanding journalism from the Daily Record” – Celtic fans rinse clickbait Alex Rae article

Celtic Park

When I first saw the headline, I thought, ‘Yep. This is a joke. It’s got to be clickbait’

And then when I read the article it basically confirmed what I thought.

The Daily Record is infamous or famous for their pro-Rangers headlines and you would think that as a national newspaper, it would try and at least remain impartial or show impartiality.

But in truth, they just can’t help themselves. This latest piece where they quoted Alex Rae claiming that Colak, is the best player in Scotland?

Wasn’t even actually correct. In fact, it was so wide off the mark it was ridiculed by the Celtic fans.

Then really speaking to our band website, when he made these comments, “Rangers’ recent form has been decent. They’re free-scoring and have picked up a couple of good results against decent opposition.

Motherwell are having a good season and Tynecastle is never an easy place to go.

They’ve also got Antonio Colak who is one of the standout players in Scotland right now. He’s hit the ground running and has produced a remarkable turnaround.

“It’ll be very interesting to see who leads the line on Wednesday night because Alfredo Morelos started the last couple of games against Napoli and Liverpool but I don’t think he’s fully fit and Colak’s confidence will be sky-high.”

So, where is the ‘best player in Scotland’ quote?

Where is the claim that he is better than Jota, Kyogo and Hatate?

Absolutely nowhere. It is desperate stuff from the Daily Record and an article that was quite rightly rinsed by the Celtic fans on Twitter:
