Celtic fan makes £175m transfer window gamble claim that leaves radio pundit speechless

Celtic’s transfer windows coming under the spotlight this season, and the fans are wondering just what the hell is going on at the club right now.

With many of the summer recruits struggling to get gametime, the club seems to have squandered millions on players who are simply not at the level to play for Celtic.

The January window has the promise of adding fresh new faces to the squad, God knows Celtic can afford it, but the deadline came and went with barely a whimper which has led to the supporters calling for Peter Lawwell and the recruitment team’s heads.

And the reason? Rangers are on their coattails and with a £60m Champions League cheque waiting for the winners of the SPFL, the fans know that allowing the Ibrox side to get their hands on that money would be criminal by the Celtic board.

But it’s not just £60m that the board are playing with. It’s much, much more than that. That’s according to this Celtic fan who called Clyde Superscoreboard. Have a listen:

That is an incredible claim and it seems that the board have taken a huge gamble by not backing the Celtic manager properly in the transfer window.

Let’s hope that the gamble does not backfire because there will be hell to pay if it does.
