It’s the hope that kills them. Well, it was liquidation that killed them and the Celtic fans will never let them forget it.
But for now, let’s go with hope. The Rangers fans hope that they will the league this season. They hope that by taking the top spot they will gain the riches of the Champions League which will then, in turn, stave off another liquidation event.
Because, let’s face it, with the amount of losses that basket case of a club has made, a financial collapse can’t be too far off.
Anyway, watching their club catch up with Celtic in the league has clearly given some of them delusions of grandeur.
