“It was ridiculous” – Former Celt lambasts another Ibrox hinest mistake

It seems as though this is something we need to do with every single week. Dodgy penalty decisions and dodgy red cards.

And as Celtic fans we need to sit by and watch these ‘honest mistakes’ continue as we defend the title and it seems that the Ibrox side are getting as much help from the referees as they possibly can.

Look at the penatly that was awarded to Rangers on Saturday. A perfectly legitimate tackle and the referee had a brilliant view, but still, it there seems to be this notion that every time an Ibrox player falls in the penalty box the referee points to the spot.

A shocking decision.

And former Celt, Peter Grant lambasted the award on The Go Radio Football Show.

Grant said, “What do you think I’m going to say? Some things never change. It was ridiculous.

“That has been a part of football for a long time, mistakes. That is what makes it what it is.”

Even looking at the video of the penalty, it was a shocker of a decision. An absolute shocker. And it seems as though the men in black are determined to give the Ibrox side as much help as they possibly can to keep them on the coat tails of Celtic.

But I suppose in the words of the famous Jock Stein, ‘If you’re good enough the referee doesn’t matter‘.
