The Bristol Bar’s cunning plan to comply with Hate Crime law will not surprise the Celtic fans

The Hate Crime Bill is one that has serious consequences for all football fans and it is one that should concern both the Rangers fans more than the Celtic supporters.

Let’s not beat about the bush. The Rangers songbook is one filled with hatred. Anti-catholic and anti-Irish, the Ibrox supporters don’t really know how to celebrate without aiming hatred towards people of different religions or nationalities.

The songbook was in full swing on Sunday and if Police Scotland did their job, there should have been thousands of arrests at Ibrox at the weekend.

However, it’s not meant to be. But at least there are steps being taken by some Rangers establishments to educate their clientele on how to comply with the new legislation.

Up steps The Bristol Bar:

So rather than enforce a ban on racist chants, sectarian singing and anti-Irish sentiment, The Bristol Bar‘s advice is ‘just don’t get caught’.

Their ‘don’t be a grass’ advice is just a symptom of the cancer that eats their support because if no one can prove their knuckle-dragging behaviour then they can claim it never happens.

If only they took steps like the Celtic supporters have done and created a varied songbook and opened their club to all.

But, Everyone Anyone, right?
