The bottle throwing incident at the Glasgow Derby at Ibrox on Sunday is one that Celtic are now dealing with.
The Parkhead club have written to the SFA to demand answers this week as it seems the Celtic hierarchy have had enough of the violent actions of the Rangers fans.
This isn’t an isolated incident by the way. We saw how Joe Hart had to deal with glass in his penalty box, a Celtic fan also got bottled last season and, of course, a Parkhead physio was struck by a missile at an Ibrox derby last season.
It’s a shocking state of affairs and if what Phil Mac Giolla Bhain claims is true, it is little wonder the Rangers fans continue to act with impunity whenever Celtic come visiting.
Celtic delegate ‘raised concerns’ at Ibrox safety
In his latest blog, Phil said, “Today I learned that immediately after the match, a senior member of the visiting delegation raised his concerns about the safety of Celtic players and staff from the missile-throwing patrons of Ibrox.
”It was pointed out to the Sevco supremo that when his team visits Parkhead, they are not subjected to the same threat of objects raining down on their technical area.
”My information is that this had the Dalia Lama of the Blue Room approaching peak tranquillity, at one with the universe.”
So quite simply, it seems that Bennet couldn’t give a flying f—k at what was happening on his watch.
It’s hardly surprising that the Ibrox support get away with sectarian singing, racism and violence in the stands if then Ibrox hierarchy have no interest in addressing concerns from their city rivals.
Maybe the SFA will do finally do something but I will not hold my breath.
I like reading born celtic but come on, this is a non story. Copy and pasting from mcgolliban is really lowering standards
How do work that one out? Do you want me to guess what Bennet did or take it from a reputable source? Pray tell…
They’ll do absolutely nothing…. guaranteed.
you can alway,s turn to eufa remember they they seem to be able to address these problem,s,i,am sure they would be very pleased to rescue some of the 60 million that,s at stake, for the scottish leauge winner ,s, they have very good lawyer,s, ………some home team,s get hammerd for constant crowd bad conduct,,,,
