Good old Hugh. Whenever there is something negative to say about Celtic, you can bet he is the man that is saying it.
A harbinger of doom, Keevins has a knack of pointing out any negativity surrounding our club and before the weekends action has even been thought about after the international break, Keevins has pretty much told Hearts not to turn up at Tynecastle.
He also claimed that there are three players at Celtic who also might as well not turn up as they wouldn’t be in the starting line up even if they were fit.
Keevins said on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, “I don’t think Maeda, Haksabanovic or Giakoumakis would have started against Motherwell anyway.
“But, Ange Postecoglou may have to get the thinking cap on and he needs the team to bounce back from what was a shabby display against St Mirren.
“They have home advantage. There’ll be 60,000 people there to welcome them back.
“In all probability, they will start the game at three o’clock no longer top of the league, because I believe that Rangers will go and win at Tynecastle.
“So he’s got a lot of thinking to do but it’s a big disappointment for Celtic and for Ange Postecoglou in particular, to lose Haksabanovic, Maeda and Giakoumakis but I do not think the team would not have contained any of them to begin with.”
Maeda has been in the starting eleven 5 out of 7 SPFL matches this season. Just because he was part of the team that lost to St Mirren doesn’t automatically mean he will be benched for the foreseeable future.
If that was the case, then the whole team that day will be dropped.
I don’t mind pundits criticising the team but at least think about what you are saying before you say it Shug.
