“Clubs down south will be looking at him” – Barry Ferguson tips Celtic star for EPL move

It’s not even October yet and people are trying to sell Celtic’s players.

To be fair, it was happening all summer and even when the great Fabrizio Romano was tipping Celtic to lose players it still didn’t happen.

Why?

Because the Celtic squad is happy. They are playing great football, winning trophies and playing in the Champions League.

Why would any player want to leave at this moment in time.

But those facts don’t suit some peoples agenda in trying to hawk our player away from the club. Just as they have been trying to do with our manager.

And Barry Ferguson has claimed that Celtic will struggle to keep a hold of Liel Abada as the young Israeli continues his development in Paradise.

Speaking on Go Radio, Ferguson said, “He’s another one with potential. Comes over here at nineteen and again is another player that, I think, most Scottish fans didn’t know anything about.

And you know, obviously you go away from your home country, sometimes it’s difficult to settle. I think it helped with Bitton, his fellow countryman took him under his wing.

“But again, I just look at his numbers. His goals, his assists. That’s what you want from wide players.

“You don’t want to just rely on your number nine scoring the goals or your attacking midfielder or your number 10.

“You want to see it coming from all forward areas and that’s what’s what Celtic have got with Jota and Abada.

“And again, Abada is only 20 years of age. Still a lot of potential in there to be fulfilled and he’s another one that Celtic may struggle to keep as he continues to progress. Clubs down south will be looking at him.”

Keep dreaming Barry. Abada has a four year contract. Four years to continue to terrorise the Ibrox side.

He is going nowhere.
