The Kris Boyd dive that went viral after Sky Sports pundit’s latest Celtic comments

Sky Sports' Kris Boyd

Kris Boyd caused a furore on Sunday after the Sky Sports pundit accused Kyogo Furuhashi of diving against Livingston.

Boyd‘s ability to fairly analyse a Celtic game is clearly too hard for him as he often lets his mask slip with his clownish behaviour on one of the biggest sports broadcasters in the world.

His punditry makes Sky Sports amateurish and his comments on Kyogo at the weekend were branded ‘toxic’ as Boyd continued to allow his allegiances to Rangers overcloud his impartiality.

Impartiality and Boyd just don’t go together. And neither does sporting integrity. Quick to accept an EBT, it seems that Boyd was even quicker to go to ground during his playing days a video of him diving against Dundee United during his Ibrox day went viral this weekend.

I mean where to even start with that? Boyd clearly wasn’t even touched as the Dundee United defender was at least a yard away from him as he decided to crumple into a heap.

If I was Boyd I would be keeping my powder dry before offering any further opinions on professional football players taking a dive.

Boyd’s actions against Kyogo on Sunday were dangerous as the social media trolls all came out in force to post all sorts of vitriol against the Celtic striker.

Of course, Boyd does have previous for targeting Kyogo using his Sky Sports platform. The former Rangers striker went on a meltdown after an onside Kyogo goal against Hearts was allowed to stand before VAR came in.

Sky Sports really need to rethink whether Boyd is the right man to analyse Celtic games because he offers absolutely nothing except the opportunity to embarrass his employers time and again every second week.
