‘Kris Boyd branded ‘toxic’ as Sky Sports urged to probe Celtic ‘false narrative’ created about Kyogo Furuhashi

Kris Boyd has been branded ‘toxic’ after his comments about Celtic striker, Kyogo Furhashi at the weekend.

Celtic ran out 3-0 winners against David Martindale‘s side and go back to the top of the Scottish Premiership ahead of the trip to Ibrox on Sunday.

Livingston used to be a tough venue for Celtic and it seemed like there was a return to he bad old days as Brendan Rodgers’ side struggled in the first half.

But a blistering second half saw a commanding Celtic take all three points back to Paradise and put pressure on our Glasgow rivals ahead of the derby.

But the win could have been made so much easier if Celtic had been awarded a penalty after Kyogo Furuhashi was fouled inside the Livingston box.

VAR and the match referee, Don Robertson, failed to award the spot kick and it created fury in the Sky Sports studio with Kris Boyd claiming that the Celtic striker dived.

And this was a claim slaughtered by A Celtic State of Mind‘s, Jerry Taylor.

Kris Boyd branded ‘petulant’ after Celtic win

Taylor said (A Celtic State of Mind), “The thing that’s getting me is that it wasn’t looked at first and foremost is a disgrace. We need answers for that because it’s time and time again.

“We’ve won that game. First and foremost, let’s put it out there. We’ve won that game. We’re looking at decisions this season and seasons ago when we won trebles when it was going against us.

“This is nothing to do with us being hard done by. To have Kris Boyd in a studio to then insinuate that he (Kyogo Furuhashi) was on his way down to then start a pile on this ‘Kyogo being a diver‘ narrative, it’s unhealthy and it’s toxic and someone like that shouldn’t be there.

“He shouldn’t have been there and have anything to do with that game because that was a petulant child knowing that the right answer but giving you the wrong answer just to wind you up.

“And it did start a pile-up. You can see on Twitter that this false narrative has been created. If they’re paying someone to create that false narrative then that needs to be looked at.”

Taylor is bang on and the Celtic fans have been calling for Boyd to be removed from Celtic games for years now.

The former Rangers striker is incapable of being neutral and he is just the class clown playing up to the gallery to boost Sky Sports’ ratings.

  1. When watching on Sky I make liberal use of the MUTE button to ensure I don’t listen to a word he says. If our game is covered elsewhere I won’t watch on Sky because I find this idiot so offensive.
