Ah, you can’t beat a bit of a Kenny Miller meltdown. Especially after Celtic have been so wronged by the VAR handball rule this week.
The former Rangers man continues his facade of ignoring the fact he once played for Celtic by having an incredible meltdown on Clyde Superscoreboard after Rangers were penalised for a John Souttar handball in the 2-2 Europa League draw with Benfica.
Remarkably, the European refs are capable of what Scottish referees are not by applying the handball rule consistently across all of Europe’s competitions.
Whether you agree with the handball decision or not (I do for what it’s worth) is another thing. And even if it was the wrong call, it was certainly worth it to watch Miller lose the plot on the radio phone-in show’s live stream:
This is simply brilliant. Rangers get away with VAR decisions and handballs in Scotland than any other team in the country so when UEFA apply a bit of karma, this is the reaction you get.
The silence from the media of professional basketball player, Connor Goldson is palpable. The amount of times he gets away with playing as a second keeper is ridiculous.
This meltdown from Miller comes as Celtic boss, Brendan Rodgers, vows to fight his SFA charge for bringing the game into disrepute.
Rodgers was cited for correctly calling John Beaton and Don Robertson incompetent last Sunday. When did telling the truth become a punishable offence?
I, for one, hope that Celtic fight this all the way. I would imagine Rodgers will get himself all lawyered up for the hearing on the 28th of March.
And if he wins his case, Miller’s meltdown will be secondary only to the one that will come from the Ibrox hordes when the Celtic boss walks out of Hampden Scot-free.
