Israeli ex-journalist pushes outrgeous Liel Abada Celtic fan slur as winger seals MLS move

Liel Abada’s move from Celtic is a chance for the player and the club to move on and part ways after the winger got his move from Paradise.

The Celtic fans’ support for the Palestinian people caused immense pressure to be put on Abada from his homeland and he suffered disgraceful social media abuse for it.

Even the Scottish mainstream media wrote complete nonsense about Abada and his situation at Celtic.

However as rumours of his move increased this week, the Celtic supporters sent Abada messages of support as they wished the winger good luck.

As we told you yesterday, Abada was happy to incur a financial hit from Celtic in order to get his move and yesterday, it was confirmed he had left Paraside for Charlotte FC in an £8m move.

Ex-journalist claims Liel Abada was attacked by Celtic fans

So the move should have brought to an end the Abada saga and offered both parties a fresh start. That was until a former journalist called Ben Green popped up on social media channel X.

His timeline is full of anti-Celtic hatred ever since the Abada move was confirmed but it is the blatant lie that the former Hoops player was attacked in Glasgow by Celtic fans that Green continues to push online. As well as much more garbage.

Of course, the news he is referring to is from a report in Israel where a claim was made by Abada’s former club president that he was abused on the streets of Glasgow.

Indeed, Brendan Rodgers rubbished this when he addressed them directly when he said,”I’m not aware of that. I speak regularly with Liel.

“It’s sadly a situation which doesn’t put him in the right frame of mind to play.” (Jerusalem Post)

If the allegation was even remotely true then Abada would never have sent a superb message to the Celtic fans thanking them and the club for the last two years.

This guys is clearly an attention-seeking wannabe and if he continues to slur the club and the Celtic supporters, I hope the Celtic board’s lawyers are watching this closely.

  1. The kid was hounded out by the knucklehead flag waving clowns who were determined to repeatedly make a political statement at a football match. Take your political issues to politicians, not to our club and the majority of fans who disagree with your actions. Hail Hail
