“The language in this article is a disgrace” – Celtic supporters are raging at the latest Daily Record Liel Abada article

On their way to Paradise

The Liel Abada situation at Celtic is one that should be handled delicately.

The Israeli winger is clearly not himself at the club. The situation in the Middle East is clearly putting a strain on the winger as the Celtic fans’ support of the Palestine cause puts pressure to be placed on him from his homeland.

And as if to further make things more difficult for Abada, the Daily Record’s latest piece on the Celtic player has really gotten under the Hoops fans’ skin.

Michael Gannon wrote a piece on how Abada’s position at Celtic seems untenable due to the opposing views of the fans and the winger.

“It’s simply hard to see any way Abada can remain at Celtic in the short, medium or long term. There are some fans who only see the world through the prism of their clubs and they can’t get their heads around this.”

The majority of the fans that I know are completely sympathetic to the situation Abada finds himself in. Rarely will you find a bad word spoken about him.

“The youngster must be feeling pretty alone right now. He looked it as well in recent appearances. At Easter Road he had 12 touches of the ball and gave it away seven times. At the end of the match, he was straight up the tunnel while his teammates celebrated with the away support.

What a bizarre stance to take. Brendan Rodgers has openly admitted that Abada is getting all the support he needs at the club right now.

In fact here on Born Celtic I specifically wrote a piece explaining why Abada went directly up the tunnel at Easter Road. It’s not rocket science to anyone with half a brain.

he can’t be seen to be pandering or playing along with the people who have voiced such loud support for the state who attacked his own.”

Since when was celebrating with fans ‘pandering’? And as for supporting the state that attacked his own people, there are only two ends of the stick that Gannon had to pick to hold here. He picked the sh*tty end.

Celtic fans support the plight of the Palestinian people, not the group that attacked Israel. There is a massive difference here. Abada knows it and so does Gannon.

It’s little wonder the Celtic fans are absolutely furious on X as they made their feelings perfectly clear.
