Ross County manager questions another Rangers pattern of assistance

As Rangers close the gap to Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership, a second SPFL manager has questioned why the Ibrox club benefited from another pattern of assistance.

Ross County stand-in boss, Don Cowie, was perplexed at the decision to add five minutes extra time at the end of the first half when the score was tied at 1-1.

Asked if he had been surprised that five minutes were added on at the end of the first half, Cowie said, (Glasgow Times), “I was, yes. I asked that question.

“It was the same in the second half as well, an extra 12 minutes in total.

“But we know that is football now and we just have to see it out.”

Come on Don, it’s not because ‘that’s football’ that it happened, it’s because the Ibrox club seem to always benefit from these decisions just when they need a bit of help.

Rangers had the chance to overtake us at the top of the table had they won the match last night without conceding scoring two clear goals.

With the score tied at 1-1 the referee bizarrely added five extra minutes even thought there were no injuries or VAR decisions in the first 45 minutes.

The cynic in me says the time was added so that Rangers could get that elusive second goal. However, that would never happen would it?

But then why would another manager call this out? It wasn’t that long ago Barry Robson called out why Rangers benefit from fortunate refereeing decisions after his team lost the League Cup final.

But hey, that’s just football isn’t it?
