The big news this week in football is the plight of Everton and how they seem to have hit financial hardship and for the Celtic fans it will peak our interest simply because of the crackpots over at Ibrox and how they respond to news like this.
With the Merseyside club needing an emergency £16m cash injection just to pay the staff and players’ wages, there is a very real danger that they could be plunged into administration if their prospective takeover doesn’t get pushed through soon. [Daily Mail]
Anyway, back to the point of this. Everton’s financial troubles ironically piqued the interest of the Rangers fans over at Follow Follow.
With the death of their old club still fresh in their tiny little minds, the toxic fan forum opened up a conversation on the Premier League club’s financial troubles without a single hint of irony.

Now as we all know, the Rangers fans claim the history and trophies of the dead club whilst denying liability for their debts.
Whilst fans all over Scottish football said the old club’s titles should be stripped, the Rangers fans cried foul and peddled the lie that they were relegated and that it was everyone else’s fault they had to play in Scotland’s bottom division.

So it makes me smile when they offered their opinion on what should happen to Everton as they suffer their own financial hardships and it was this thread started by David Edgar that started the ball rolling.
One asked if Everton still owed them money:
Another wanted them to go out of business because no other club helped the old Rangers out of their own financial mismanagement:

And even though Rangers spent money they had which caused the original club to die and the new club have racked up over £100m in losses, these fan said:

The lack of self-awareness is staggering as this lot doesn’t recognise just how stupid they look whenever they comment on another club’s precarious financial position.
