‘Celtic lied’ – Brendan Rodgers just broke the Rangers fans on Follow Follow today

As a Celtic fan, I love days like today. I love the positivity from Brendan Rodgers. I love good news coming out from Lennoxtown.

There was trepidation heading into the final five games of the season off the back of Celtic announcing an injury to Daizen Maeda last week that may rule him out for the rest of the season.

The Japanese winger, for all his faults, is absolutely key to Celtic retaining the title this season. His work rate and effort for the team more than makes up for his inconsistency in crossing and finishing.

And, let’s be honest, he gives James Tavernier absolute nightmares every time he plays against the Rangers captain.

And whilst the Celtic fans got to grips with the prospect of losing the Japanese wing king, Brendan Rodgers announced that he could very well be fit for the Hearts game next week.

Daizen Maeda gives Rangers fans the fear

Maeda has been a scourge of Rangers ever since he joined Celtic over tow years ago. In thirteen games against them he has been on the winning side eight times and scored three goals and created four.

They absolutely hate playing against him. And as the Celtic fans rejoiced at the news Maeda is coming back in time for the run-in, the announcement actually broke Follow Follow today.
