Footage shows that all may not be well between Brendan Rodgers and key Celtic player

Main stand turnstiles at Celtic Park

Celtic’s defeat to Hearts on Saturday threw up a multitude of issues surrounding the club right now.

From the fans being unhappy with the board to Celtic’s transfer policy being called into question, there are many problems for Brendan Rodgers to sort out.

But the one big issue it looks like he needs to sort is his relationship with Kyogo Furuhashi.

A Celtic fan captured footage of the manager and the Japan striker at full time and it looked like neither had time for each other. Take a look at this:

Whatever is going on between the two of them they had better get it sorted. With Livingston up next and Rangers on their way to Celtic Park on the 30th, Rodgers will need Kyogo up for it and full of confidence if he wants to take the next six points.

Because nothing else will do. The Celtic fans will simply not accept the manager allowing anymore leeway given to Rangers in the race for the title.

With automatic entry into the Champions League and a £60m payday guaranteed, the Celtic fans would go ballistic if Rodgers handed that bounty to a club that simply cannot compete with us off the park.

I would go as far to say that the next two games will have a huge say on whether Rodgers will be the Celtic manager after the New Year. That’s how bad this situation is.

So whatever the Celtic manager needs to do to get Kyogo firing, he had better do it now!
