World Cup winner can ram his snobbery Jota opinion

Kerrydale Suite, Jock Stein Stand

When Celtic were 5-0 down in the Bernabeu the fans wanted something, ANYTHING to cheer for in the stadium.

We had just watched Los Blancos tear us apart in front of goal, so we were hoping for at least SOMETHING to celebrate.

And up steps Jota with this beauty:

Jota, quite rightly, decided to celebrate the strike. Who wouldn’t?

Well, former World Cup winner Thierry Henry wouldn’t apparently.

Speaking on CBS as relayed by HITC, Henry said of Jota’s goal, “But Jota celebrated that goal. Really?!

Oooh, I mean. That’s true (scoring at the Bernabeu). But it’s 5-0.”

Ram it Henry. The Frenchman’s attitude is indicative of the attitudes that live in the tourist league of the EPL.

Passion and soul was ripped out of that league the minute Sky pumped their billions into it.

Give me passion over money any day!

  1. Jota had every right to celebrate. He is a young guy who knows his career could be cut short by injury at any moment and thus he savour the special moments in case they never happen again, which is what all young players should do. Henry is an arrogant tosser who can va-va-piss off and gie’s peace….
