Whenever they talk about Celtic they usually roll out Frank McAvennie who I’ve been seriously critical in the past about his over the top observations about our club.
But whenever there’s a negative transfer story floating around you can rely on Allan Hutton’s or Alex McLeish’s barn door to be swung open so they can spew their bullsh*t around.
And this time it’s the tired old story of Josip Juranovic ‘leaving’ the club this summer.
When asked if he thought Juranovic could go, speaking in Football Insider, Hutton said, “I think it depends what the concrete offer is.
“If this is far down the line and Atletico Madrid are willing to stump up the cash for him.
“We know they’ve had bother at full-back since [Kieran] Trippier left to go to Newcastle so they’re obviously in the market for someone of a good standard.
“Would England sway him? Possibly, I think it’s the best league in the world. If you’re talking about a team that’s going to go for top ten down south, he would probably rather that because it is one of the best leagues.
“But Spain is very attractive. I think if it does come down to that it would be hard to turn down.“
You would think the Ibrox firesale is something they would ask him about. Or the fact that his own club are signing freebies and haggling over a couple of hundred grand for Colak?
Nah, ignore that. Roll out an anti Celtic story.
