‘Embarrassing’ – What Philippe Clement said after Celtic draw that enraged one Rangers supporter

Statue at Ibrox

They went to Ibrox more in expectation than hope and whenever Rangers meets Celtic, it’s usually the hope that kills them.

Philippe Clement had instilled a belief into his squad and the Rangers support after Celtic kept teaching them a lesson under Michael Beale.

The Cockney manager was good at running his mouth off off the park but when it came to do his talking on the pitch, Celtic silenced him time after time.

Rangers fans see through Clement after Celtic draw

But now, it seems, that Clement is falling into that very same trap. After surrendering another two points to Celtic at Ibrox, the Rangers manager weirdly claimed that his side had won a moral victory. Whatever that means.

And the reality of that comment and the fact Rangers still can’t beat Celtic in a meaningful game has awoken their fans to the fact that Clement could be all bluster.

Calling Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, this Rangers fan raged, “That was embarrassing. What I would say about Clement is generally, you look at the performances, you look at that results and he’s done a phenomenal job since he’s come in when he’s not had a squad to pick from.

“But he’s also never put one word wrong in press conferences but that comment about it being a moral victory? That was embarrassing. What are you talking about?

“The bottom line is this guy, he picked Scott Wright to start for Rangers when he had other options. He had Cantwell on the bench and that baffles me.”

It baffles me that this lot still think Cantwell is the answer to toppling Celtic but each to their own.

Clement, again, last night waffled about his game against Dundee being called off. His comments then were also embarrassing.

The Ibrox gaffer is close to being found out and when that happens I cannot wait to see the meltdown over Govan way.
