Ally McCoist’s mask slips on talkSPORT as Dundee rant exposes Celtic bitterness

Former Rangers striker, Ally McCoist talking Celtic again

Ally McCoist has been hitting the Celtic headlines for all the wrong reasons over the last couple of weeks.

The former Rangers hero was due to take in last weekend’s Glasgow Derby until he made the unfortunate comments that he, alongside 48,000 other Rangers fans, was willing to break the Scottish Government’s Hate Crime bill at Ibrox.

McCoist was, of course, defended by certain sections of the media over the last seven days and that’s hardly surprising.

In fact, McCoist himself has a history of defending bigots who sing anti-Catholic songs so it is little wonder he made the comments that he did.

And this morning, McCoist’s anti-Celtic mask slipped again as he raged about Rangers’ game against Dundee being called off last night.

Ally McCoist is fuming about Celtic’s historic title win

With Rangers’ game rescheduled to next week, McCoist said the whole saga is an absolute shambles but he couldn’t do it without having a dig at Celtic.

Speaking to Alan Brazil, McCoist said (talkSPORT), “It was a shambles. Absolute shambles.

“I don’t know what’s going on there at Dundee. Their pitch is waterlogged, they’re still not getting their emails and all that stuff – it’s some carry-on up there.”

Indeed, the dig is about the 2020 title that Celtic won when the season was cut short due to COVID but McCoist seems to conveniently forget that his club AGREED to it as they needed the money and that Celtic were in a healthy lead that even the most hardened of Rangers fans would agree was unassailable.

I love a bit of Ally McCoist tears. They bring me and many other Celtic fans so much pleasure. Especially when you find out he’s still hurting from an event that happened four years ago and it’s still causing the former Ibrox man a load of pain.

  1. This is the club that refused to play the game the Wednesday before the Celtic game. Yes they refused!! Instead of being told that was when it was getting played.
