Why Rangers will lose “alarming” refereeing stat this Saturday and Celtic will benefit

It’s certainly been a record breaking season for Celtic.

The club are set to become World Record holders for most amount of domestic trebles won. Record SPFL points tally is still up for grabs as is the most goals scored in the league.

Hell, even Callum McGregor is set to become the only player in the history of the game to have won FIVE domestic trebles.

But the club could, and probably will, break another record this Saturday afternoon. The longest ever streak by a team never to concede a penalty.

Rangers have incredibly went over 50 SPFL league matches without conceding a spot kick. And when you look at the amount of penalties that have been awarded since the introduction of VAR, that stat is all the more unbelievable.

But that will end on Saturday. For two reasons. One, PLZ Soccer are the first mainstream media outlet to have openly questioned the stat live on air.

In an unusual move, Peter Martin, Alan Rough, Alison McConnell and the squirming Tam McManus all openly discussed what they called an “alarming” statistic.

And why will Celtic get a penalty on Saturday? The authorities need to put an end to the rumour that they are now openly helping the Ibrox club.

And what better way to do it in a Glasgow Derby that has no real ramifications no matter which way the result goes.

Am I being a conspiracy theorist? Possibly. I wonder what the odds are on us getting a spot kick on Saturday?

“I’m raging at Beale” – 5 pages and over 400 comments later; Follow Follow brilliantly discuss sacking Beale

You know the best thing about this thread? It’s just the beginning. When you look at last months 3-2 win at Celtic Park against Rangers, a full ten days later the Follow Follow pain raged on.

And now with the realisation that they are ending another season trophy less whilst we go on towards another possible treble, those poor chaps at Follow Follow are now demented.

In this threadIn this thread, there are over 400 comments spanning five pages where the Bears are all predicting when their Messiah is going to get the sack.

Rangers fans rage at yet another Celtic defeat.

If you think this is bad now, wait until the 13th of May.

If Celtic beat them back at Ibrox you can be sure that not only will Follow Follow be DEMANDING he is sacked, the poor wee Onion Bears will be look to assemble to demonstrate against their flailing board.

We all remember Dave King’s ‘pack of cards’ prediction, right?

Amazing to see it coming true!

Rangers fans incredible Hampden fascist banner called out after Celtic defeat

Former Celtic star tells Rangers to shut up and do their talking on the pitch

After last weeks Glasgow Derby defeat, we have all had to suffer the usual diatribe emanating from Ibrox players as they continue their posturing and air of self entitlement.

Ra peepo have done nothing but bump their gums about how the next fixture against them will be a different story and how we will see the true Rangers the next time they come up against Celtic.

I’d love to see that but we’d need a shovel and pickaxe to dig them up from their grave.

And former Celtic striker Frank McAvennie has sent a message to Ibrox. One that he believes their own fans will send if their players don’t start delivering on the pitch.

Callum McGregor said it last week that Celtic do their talking on the pitch,” he told Football Insider.

All Rangers are doing is talking in the papers and I am getting fed up of it. Even the Rangers supporters are as well.

Do it on the park and then come out and say that you know you are better than them afterwards.

It is every time they play each other Rangers players claim they are better even though they get beat. Just do your talking on the pitch that is what I would say.

I say let them talk. Let them continue their nonsense because the more they jabber on, the more they suffer as their pain after another Derby defeat rips through them.

Andy Walker destroys Glasgow Derby narrative. The Rangers fans will not be happy

It’s a game Celtic never won, but Rangers lost.

The Ibrox club were robbed by the referee.

The gap isn’t so big.

These are just a number of the nonsensical ramblings we have had to endure since we went twelve points clear at the top of the table.

But former Celtic striker Andy Walker wasn’t having any of it.

He told Go Radio’s Football Show: “When all is said and done, it’s all about results. I watched Rangers last week and I think they’re getting too much praise – they got beat.

“I don’t think they ever looked like winning [against Celtic]. I thought their pressing game, and the closing down was good. It was a different approach to the one we saw in the League Cup final.

“I didn’t ever think Rangers were going to win the game at any stage.”

Thanks Andy. You’ve pretty much confirmed what every Celtic fan knew already.

If only the rest of the media didn’t bend over to the moonhowling Ibrox fantasists.
