Michael Stewart. A pundit that isn’t afraid to call it as it is.

Like the time he called out Jim Traynor live on BBC Sportsound. Remember that?

I’m sure those remarks cause the BBC to get banned from Ibrox but it seems the outspoken pundit, after 2 years now, has decided to offer an apology to the former *Rangers PR man.

Tweeted this morning, Stewart said, “I would like to apologise to Jim Traynor for comments made about him on the BBC Sportsound programme on Monday 3rd February 2020.

“On the programme, I referred to Jim as a dangerous character, a bull and someone who tried to create division for personal gain.

“I had no justification for those remarks and I withdraw them unreservedly.

“I realise that my remarks and the subsequent social media storm caused Jim and his family a lot of upset which I sincerely regret.

“I am also conscious that my remarks have caused embarrassment to Rangers Football Club and I would like to apologise to them too.”

A full two years later he apologises and you have to wonder why. Why now? What is the motive?
