“He’s a Bush League Bully” – The Follow Follow Ange thread lays bare their pain

Main stand and Jock Stein Stand, Celtic Park

Yeah they are in serious pain and that’s what makes this forthcoming title win all the sweeter.

As Ange Postecoglou looks to seal the deal on Celtic’s TENTH title in eleven years, the man they all claimed would be sacked by Halloween has certainly made a lot of people involved in the Scottish game look seriously idiotic.

And none more so than the fans over at Ibrox.

They were celebrating their second title win even before a ball was kicked this season when Ange was appointed and I would imagine there are a lot of angry bears deleting some ill advised tweets as we speak.

But, as the pain sinks in, so does the denial.

The denial that Celtic have a very good manager with a very good team assembled in a very short space of time have left the Govan club’s fans looking for a very big bunch of straws to clutch. And it doesn’t come better than this belter over a Follow Follow:

I mean the irony of this post is that Wim Jansen’s historic title win pretty much kicked of a twenty year period where Celtic have won 15 titles, but this lot don’t do irony.

They only do delusion:

Let’s Gio was more clinging to hope than reality: “My pal who lived in oz reckons there were rumours for him to go to forest.”

djtudr4 made a claim just as stupid as his name: “His team in Japan won the league in his second year before being mid table the year he left. Is that because teams figure out how to play against them after a couple of seasons? I hope the same happens here, not just us but other teams in the league.”#

20rangersultras07 doesn’t quite get the grasp of a rebuild: “A good SPL manager but his tactics wouldn’t work in England. Seen it yourself in Europe, they get hammered.”

RaoulDuke11 doesn’t even get the irony of his own comment. How many times have they ‘found us out’ in the league now?: “A first season high-tide is very common.

“Advocaat and O’Neil are great examples of this in that during their first seasons they blew other teams away, but others wised up quite quickly after that.

“When Celtic are as one-dimensional as they are, they will be found out even sooner.”

ForGodForCountryFoever (wtf is that name even all about?!) is just a bizarre individual: “I think Europe more than found him out. He’s a Bush League Bully.”

This next comment in just peak delusion from this hurting crookie_bear : “They’ve had every break going. Since Boxing day, sometimes you make your own luck sometimes you get fortunate in other ways, they’ve had a combination of both…. in spades.”

But there was one fan with common sense who took his blue tinted specs off for one second. Up steps JW1988: “I think it’s a bit disingenuous. He’s taken them from their worst start in over 20 years to winning the league on the back of a 25 game unbeaten run or something like that!

“He’s brought in players to suit his style.

“But we’ve shown the last 2 games we are more than a match. We are the better team. A good transfer window, hopefully Goldson stays but I doubt it, and we can go at them next year and win the league again.”

Apart from the ‘better team’ comment as the league table simply blows that out the water, but he at least tried to bring some common sense to the table.

Ange has them rattled. And I hope the ‘second season syndrome’ is true because anyone that has had done a modicum of research on Ange will tell you, his second seasons are the most devastating.
