VAR in Scotland is causing all sorts of debate isn’t it?
Like, ‘Was it handball?’, ‘Did Rangers deserve a penalty?’, ‘Did the ref bless himself after Giakoumakis scored his third against Dundee?’.
Ok. I made that last one up but you catch my drift.
And I think out of every clubs fans, Celtic fans have been the most vociferous when it has come to calling for VAR in Scotland.
Well, that was until the Rangers fans are now witnessing what it’s like when you don’t get the odd penalty here and the odd red card there to help pull in decent results.
But all of a sudden, now, yes now, they want VAR brought in because they are just not getting the help from the officials that they are used to.
Or is it because Celtic are getting decisions they should be? Either way, they are foaming at the mouth.
But not like this guy on The Go Radio Football Show. This guy claims that there is only one club that doesn’t want VAR in Scottish football and he was challenged on it by resident journalist Mark Guidi:
Slavvering lunatic. Could only offer up one example when making a claim.
I could give you at least seven off the top of my head right now why the Govan club wouldn’t want VAR. And I could double that with 20 minutes of research.
But hey, now that the panic from the south siders is really taking grip, the next eleven games are going to be very interesting.
