Normally a post match interview from Ange is box office.
Even in defeat, the big man usually comes away with some words of wisdom and a slap to a journalist now and again whenever a stupid question was asked.
But last nights post match presser left some fans feeling deflated.
Tactics wrong. Team selection wrong. The whole night went, well, wrong.
And as Ange reviewed the game he refused to admit the tie was over when during the interview he said, “‘You can sit here and feel sorry for yourself or you can realise there’s another game to go to turn it around.”
But even that was still not enough to placate these Celtic fans who were not only unhappy about the performance, but also unhappy about the interview:
Europe is too big a step for us, wee simply dont know how to compete and our awful tactics and poor defending & finishing, exposed.

Crossing endless balls in to the smallest player on the park, who’s being marked by 2 giant CBs, yes he eventually got on the end of one but we cannot be doing that at this level.

If that’s what he really believes he’s wrong. Just protecting the players.

The team had an off night. And those will happen again.
We need to realise that we are still early into a massive rebuilding project but I suppose there is one modicum of comfort we can take.
The reaction to the defeat is a mark of how far Ange has taken us.
We, as a support, need to ensure that we react to disappointments like last night better.
