Spanish media tips Celtic for cash windfall as stunning transfer story breaks

Celtic could be in for another cash injection as one of their former players looks set for an incredible big money move to Real Madrid.

Former Celtic defender Jeremie Frimpong has been sensationally linked with a move to the Galactico’s by Spanish media outlet, Diariogol.

The Spanish giants are reported to be looking for cover for Dani Carvajal as he is the clubs only recognised right sided defender.

It really is a testament to how far the youngster has progressed since leaving the Hoops.

Frimpong opened up to German site Kicker about how he has adapted his game since leaving Glasgow, “At Celtic we had the ball all the time. We didn’t really have to defend. Only if we played against Glasgow Rangers, Hibernian or Aberdeen,” explains the attacking defender.

“I’ve done things that I got away with at Celtic. But in Germany, of course, you play against much better opponents. Those were things you can’t do here.

“I adapted, I learned all season. And I’m still learning.” Especially on the defensive. And just as fast as the Sprinter moves on the pitch.

And it seems that hard work is now paying off as his skills and talent have now reached the riches of Madrid.

It is thought that there is a sell on clause in Frimpong’s next move but the value has not yet been disclosed.
