Dermot Desmond to ‘handle’ the SFA after Celtic VAR shambles

But with Rodgers’ date with SFA destiny approaching, it seems like Dermot Desmond is certainly taking a hands-on approach towards the national association.

In his latest blog, Phil said, “Sadly for the chaps at Hampden, I’m told Mr Desmond has the numbers crunched by an outside agency that looked into key match-day decisions over a long period of time.

“My information is that he has a handle on the issue as he can see the numbers.”

It’s about time Celtic made a move against the SFA. And if Phil is correct, this is the biggest confrontation the board have made against them since Fergus McCann took on Jim Farry over Jorge Cadete’s registration scandal back in 1998.

And we all know what happened there. The Celtic fans will be watching this closely. We have held a deep suspicion of the SFA for years now which was fuelled by the Farry debacle.

With just over a week to Rodgers‘ hearing, have the SFA bitten off more than they can chew? We won’t have long to find to find out the outcome.
