Celtic fans will be utterly confused as Rangers release bizarre Jimmy Bell video

Ibrox Stadium

Now as regular readers know, I keep the Celtic supporters abreast of any news or updates coming out of Rangers.

Why? Because I think it’s important to know what your rivals are up to and I especially think it’s vital to ensure the Celtic fans are kept up to date with some of the crazy things that the club gets up to.

For example, the bizarre coincidences that surround them when it comes to SFA officials is just not right.

Neither is the amount of benefit they have gained over the past few seasons with a suspect pattern of assistance.

But sometimes, just sometimes, the basket of frogs that is the Ibrox club comes up with something bizarre that makes you look at them and think, ‘Did they just do that?’.

Which makes this next video all the more mental.

Celtic fans bemused at Rangers’ Jimmy Bell tribute

That’s right. You read that correctly. Rangers have gone and made a tribute video for their recently deceased kitman, Jimmy Bell.

Ordinarily, I would say this is a nice touch. Very humane of them. But ordinary is not what this club is capable of. Watch this:

Now is it just me or is that just a wee bit over the top? Just how did he instil the values of the club into players? And what values were those?

And did doing that help the dead club win trophies in the 20 years he was there? Did he coach and manage this team to European finals and league titles?

No. He washed and ironed their strips. Oh, and taught them the ‘traditions‘ of the club. We all know what that means and that is why he was worshipped by a support that sing about being up to their knees every week from the stands.

It’s grandstanding nonsense that belongs in the bin. But then if they didn’t do this then we would not still be enjoying The Banter Years now would we?
