As the title race between Celtic and Rangers hots up, Var has dominated much of the headlines surrounding the weekend’s Scottish Premiership action.
Celtic’s defeat to Hearts was probably the biggest story of the weekend as Brendan Rodgers’ side couldn’t capitalise on Rangers’ Ibrox defeat to Motherwell.
The 2-0 Tynecastle loss means the top-of-the-table Scottish Premiership standings don’t change and now it’s all about both teams’ mentality.

Rangers bottle in question even as Celtic slip-up
The Ibrox club have never been in this situation before. Celtic, meanwhile, have over many seasons. We have players who have taken the club to many titles over the last two decades. The Newco have not.

The encouraging this is that this title is still in Celtic’s hands and there are two Glasgow Derby’s left to go.
Brendan Rodgers has already won the first two fixtures and if he successfully negotiates the Ibrox fixture in March, the momentum will be with Celtic to go on and win the title.
Plus their fans would go into meltdown as they always do in these fixtures.
It’s turning out to be a very interesting title race indeed.
