An English-based journalist has made a claim about John Beaton and Rangers that not even the Celtic fans believe.
After the weekend’s shambolic VAR display by the SFA official, Beaton has come under some serious fire from the Celtic supporters.
Known for leanings towards the Ibrox club, one Daily Mail journalist based in England has made a claim about Beaton proving he knows absolutely nothing about the game in Scotland.
Speaking on the It’s All Kicking Off Podcast, Daily Mail journalist Ian Ladyman said, “The issue is that there are theories, unproven, in Scotland that John Beaton is a Rangers fan.”

I guess we shouldn’t allow Ladyman to see this:

No penalty.
No red card.

Or another decision involving Rangers where Beaton was the ref:
Or what about this Conor Goldson cracker from a classic Glasgow Derby last season:
And I suppose we shouldn’t tell Ladyman that after a Glasgow Derby where he failed to send off Alfredo Morelos on three separate occasions, Beaton was pictured in the Crown Bar. A famous Rangers pub in Glasgow:

I suppose Ladyman is correct, eh? It is unproven that Beaton is a Rangers fan.
