“All well and good, but” – Celtic fans send the board a clear message after announcing Cameron Carter-Vickers’ contract extension

Celtic fans following the team in Europe.

Ok, let’s be absolutely clear here, the announcement of Cameron Carter-Vickers signing a new five year deal at Celtic is absolutely fantastic news.

There is no doubt the club and Brendan Rodgers must be commended for this.

Carter-Vickers is Celtic’s most important player and it is clear that when he doesn’t play, they are a lot weaker without him.

However, despite this update the Celtic fans have sent the board a clear message that although they are delighted with this news, they need to do more to strengthen the team for the title run in.

Celtic fans demand transfer additions

With the transfer window entering its dying embers, the Celtic fans are bemused at the lack of activity shown by the club.

Brendan Rodgers has continually banged on about the need to add quality to the squad since October and as yet, the arrival of Nicolas Khun is the only piece of business that has been completed.

And on the thread on X where Celtic announced CCV’s contract, the supporters left the club in no doubt what they expect to see next:

So whilst the fans are delighted with this news, the message is absolutely clear.
