Follow Follow discards Steven Gerrard and overdoses on Deludamol after struggling win over St Mirren

You’ve got to love those lovely folk over at Follow Follow. Hanging on to Celtic’s coattails with an insipid 1-0 win over St Mirren yesterday, the toxic fan forum got a little bit carried away with itself in its praise of Philippe Clement.

With Celtic struggling themselves in the 1-0 win over Ross County at Celtic Park, we are in no place to judge what they talk about.

However, what the Celtic fans don’t do is make daft comparisons to legendary managers whenever the results are going well.

On this thread posted yesterday afternoon, the claim is that Clement is the best manager they have had since Walter Smith.

Now considering Smith never managed the new club, that is quite the claim. But let’s not get bogged down with semantics.

With what, 20 games under his belt and failing to beat Celtic in December, the nutters at Follow Follow have him up there with some of the best managers in the dead club’s history.

One of the fans said he’s done a ‘remarkable job’. He’s won a cup after being subject to a tremendous pattern of assistance.

Clement has benefitted from a series of helpful VAR decisions since he began his Ibrox tenure. So much so that he is a huge fan of the technology. Of course, he is.

And the remarkable thing here is that they have totally disregarded Steven Gerrard for winning the COVID league despite them crowing about it over the past three years.

It’s strange that this mob continually bleat about loyalty when they turn on their own at the drop of a hat. Never change Sevco fans. Never change.
