Hmmmm. I’ve always wondered how we could measure the progress of *Rangers under Michael Beale.

One could point to the league table and say that nothing much has really changed. When, in reality, that is not really true now is it?

Their performances, bar the one against Hearts, have been utterly chronic.

Struggled against an Aberdeen side, twice, that where on the road to sacking their manager. Struggled against a St Johnstone side who were more than a match for them until a ‘red card’ offence saw them conveniently reduced to ten men before the obligatory penalty was awarded.

• Scored 4 less goals in the league
• Conceded 4 more goals in the league

• Started wearing suits and brown brogues again

At least the brogues are back because the brand of sexy football that was on show at Hearts was already missing as they struggled to overcome Ross County in their pit.
