This is really an incredible decision that was missed by a lot of Celtic fans and the broadcasters, it seems.
Whilst most of the attention of the VAR decisions went onto the Abada offside goal, the penalty that never was and Ralston’s bullet header, this next one just sums up the ineptitude of the officials on Saturday.
It was in the dying minute of time added on when this happened:
An absolutely bizarre decision that made no sense to anyone but was simply not picked up.
And why wasn’t it? Because could you imagine if Hearts took this opportunity and scored a last minute equaliser the fall out from this?
Thankfully, it didn’t but it still highlights that even with VAR, there is a long way to go to rid our game of these ‘honest mistakes’.
