“I’m not sure” – Alex McLeish slaps down Celtic player valuation after making incredible admission

Kerrydale Suite, Jock Stein Stand

Alex McLeish really is the idiot’s idiot isn’t he?

He sometimes comes away with throwaway comments about Celtic that make him look stupid or show him up for the ignoramus he is when he talks about the club and our players.

Last week, a report was released claiming that Celtic are confident of getting £15m+ for attacker Liel Abada but in all seriousness, I think they would be selling themselves short if they didn’t demand £20m+ if and when the time comes to sell him.

But Alex McLeish has slapped down that valuation.

But that’s not the interesting part. What is his reasons for doing so?

What has he seen that makes him think he’s not worth the £15m+?

Have a read at these baffling comments:

“I probably haven’t seen enough of him to put that valuation on him,” McLeish told Football Insider.

“But you would think that the big clubs, the clubs who have that kind of money, won’t want to waste it.

“Abada, if he is at that kind of level, these prices are mind-boggling, through the roof. It is very difficult to reject those offers if they come in.

“Is he there yet? I’m not sure. There is no doubting he has started this season very well, Celtic have as a club. He is still young so there is so much room to grow there.

“I think it’s one to keep an eye on.”

Hold on! He hasn’t seen enough of him to put that valuation on him?

So by that reckoning he hasn’t seen enough of him to form any kind of opinion on Abada then has he?

What an idiotic comment to make and the fact McLeish is allowed a platform to comment on our team with no knowledge of what the hell he’s talking about is just embarrassing.
