“I had a free ranging discussion” – Phil Mac’s grave Ibrox boardroom battle prediction

Ibrox Stadium

Everyone knows it. Celtic fans know it and the Rangers directors know it.

The only peeple that don’t know it are the Ibrox fans themselves.

Sunday’s defeat has damaged more than just the bragging rights at Ibrox this season.

It has serious financial implications for the club.

With the £40m Champions League group stage money almost in Celtic’s bank account, the Govan directors will need to think of other ways to shore up that £100m loss they have supported over the last four seasons.

And prominent blogger Phil Mac Ghiolla Bháin has served a timely warning about it.

Speaking in his latest blog, Phil revealed frank conversations with a finance expert over the Ibrox clubs finances and it doesn’t look good, “I had a free ranging discussion with football finance expert David Low about the current situation at Sevco.

“David is of the firm opinion that the financial outlook over Ibrox is rather stormy, especially after they were defeated.

“Moreover, he thinks that Dave King‘s current manoeuvrings are part of that overall picture.”

So could the mighty King be on his way back to Govan should the club fall into financial ruin this year?

This will be a very interesting watch. Especially with big Mike lurking around the corner.

  1. One blogger reporting another bloggers story is bad enough , having followed Celtic News for 10 years now , Phil Mac has been saying the same thing for te last 8 years . And guess what , Rangers are still there
