“Solid legal ground” – Phil Mac predicts more financial troubles ahead for Sevco

Ibrox Stadium

Wow. What a weekend Rangers are having.

Virtually lost the league. Fans calling for the manager and Director of Footballs head. Players copping it left, right and centre. Racist abuse and sectarian singing.

I say what a weekend they’re having. Sounds just like a party to them.

But it seems their troubles are set to continue as Phil Mac Ghiolla Bháin predicts further financial turmoil for the Govan club.

After the Sydney Cup cancellation, it is predicted that the financial penalties could run into millions for the club.

It’s all speculation as to how much it will cost but the popular Celtic blogger has hinted in his latest blog that the club are about to be hit with major financial penalties:

“My investigations have convinced me that the organisers of the Sydney Super Cup are on solid legal ground in the UK apropos the contractual legal obligations of the Ibrox club.”

Phil is usually spot on with this kind of prediction and all eyes will be on the Ibrox board when that lawyers letter pops into their letterbox.

  1. Did he not also predict a Dave King statement after a defeat and 100 other guesses that missed the mark. Even a broken clock is right twice a day.
