“This is just disgusting”, “The Orange Order is a far right hate group” – Edinburgh prepares for Orange Order invasion on Pride Day

These marches are vile. The majority of people that follow them are vile. End of.

Anyone celebrating an event hundreds of years ago that celebrates the killing of Catholics are just plain wrong.

Because this is a hate fest. A hate fest fuelled with anti Irish, Catholic and Celtic sentiment that manifests itself into other forms of bigotry and bile.

And it’s about to his Edinburgh. On Pride Day.

What were they thinking?

When look at the Orange Order marches, it is an event of hate. They hate anything and anyone that don’t follow their British values and morals and (wait for it…….) culture.

Just back in September the police ‘condemned’ the racist and sectarian singing that went on in the most recent march in Glasgow.

And we all that fans of a certain club follow these ‘walks’ religiously (pardon the pun) and we also know that the same fan base takes pride in the whole ethos of hate filled anti Irish and anti Catholic bigotry and intolerance of other peoples values and cultures.

As Celtic fans of all denominations, we have suffered the abuse yearly and can well empathise on what is going to hit the capital this summer.

Just imagine the scenes when the attendees of this bigotfest eventually cross paths with the Pride movement.

It will not end well and as these twitter users point out:

And I’ll leave the last one here:

  1. Pride Day is a much bigger event promoting inclusion and is getting bigger and bigger each year with a party atmosphere. Let the Sash wearing hatred of others have their walk as its the last of a dying breed and hopefully it is directed down different routes and times to Pride Day. Its certainly not as significant as if held in Derry or Belfast or as Pride Day.
