Hugh Keevins and his predictions are legendary aren’t they?
From Ange being Absolutely Not Good Enough, to Celtic finishing third this season to *Rangers not losing another game this season before they faced Celtic at Parkhead, you would think that with all his experience, he would learn or at least know better before opening his mouth with yet even more nonsense.
After *Rangers win against Red Star Belgrade on Thursday night, the red wine must have still been flowing through his veins when he made this hilarious claim on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard, “I’m going to choose my words very carefully, so I’d be obliged if you would listen very carefully in case you have plans to throw this back in my face at some later date.
“I think Rangers have as much the chance of winning the Europa League as any left in the competition.
“I thought last night’s result and performance were phenomenal.
“I expected Rangers to score in Serbia in the return leg. I expect them to be, of course, in the quarterfinals for the first time since 2008.
“I think some Rangers fans owe the manager and the goalkeeper and apology because they both came in for heavy criticism on this programme.”
First of the *Rangers in 2008 is a completely different club but regardless, Barcelona, Napoli, Sevilla and West Ham will all have something to say about this.
And as for their record in cup competitions, has Hugh forgotten that since the new club was born they have failed to win a domestic cup on TWENTY different occasions in the last two seasons?
But at least Hugh was right on one part of his statement, we are going to throw this back in his face at a later date.
