Sky pundits absolutely bizarre Millwall solution to Glasgow Derby ticket allocations

The ticket allocations for the Glasgow Derby has been rumbling on for a number of months now.

And you know what I find is completely peculiar? The media narrative that somehow Celtic should have sorted this by being the bigger person and allowing a larger contingent of *Rangers fans to attend the last match, whilst completely washing over who was responsible for the mess in the first place.

But what is interesting is the complete lack of understanding from Sky pundit Danny Mills. His take on the fiasco is incredible, but not surprising.

Speaking to Football Insider, Mills said, “Somebody has to step in and sort this out properly.

“Whether that be the Scottish FA or the government, whoever it might be. It’s not right.

“There are always been issues between certain clubs and certain fans but it can be policed very well.

“Even if you have to ship people in. They might have to meet five miles out of town at a retail park or a service station and they can get bussed in and bussed out. Ok, there’s an extra expense in that.

“I remember when Leeds and Millwall had issues, you had to go and collect your ticket three hours before the game at a service station south of Leeds. Then you got on a bus and were taken to the game.

“Once the fans are inside you can control it with stewarding and segregation.

“It might be a hassle and it might be an inconvenience but there has to be some sort of way around this to get fans back in.”

Crowd trouble. That’s what he thinks this is all about. How ill informed can one pundit be on a story that hes been well documented for the last year?

This isn’t England in the eighties mate! Crowd trouble very rarely happens in the Glasgow Derby.

You would think these guys would educate themselves properly before offering comment on a subject they clearly know nothing about.
