With Celtic exiting the Champions League last week, all the focus now remains on what we can slavage from the last two remaining fixtures.
A win against Shakthar and a free hit at Real Madrid will determine whether or not we finish bottom of the group and coach out of Europe altogether or, somehow miraculously, make the Europa League.
And while Ange Postecoglou and the team remain focused on that, Newcastle United still remain focused on one of our tip talents.
Matt O’Riley has been under the watchful eye of Eddie Howe and was said to ha e been watched just a couple of months ago by his scouts and those of Manchester United, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund.
A report has claimed that O’Riley has been watched yet again and we could be braced for bids in the January window.
According to The Mirror, “Newcastle’s head of recruitment Steve Nickson was also reportedly at Parkhead, but he was taking a look at Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley – who has been linked with Crystal Palace.”
O’Riley has been a revelation since his £1.5m move from MK Dons and as the midfielder keeps developing under Ange Postecoglou, the Hoops manager will be worried at the prospect of losing him in the winter window.
