Connor Goldson, if he’s not getting ridiculed by Celtic fans he is getting destroyed by his own fans for his Ibrox performances.
The Rangers defender is bulletproof when it comes to getting penalties awarded against him for handballs but, unfortunately for him, he is not when he opens his mouth to speak.
Usually, it’s ‘bitterly disappointing‘ James Tavernier that puts his foot in it but this time it’s Goldson as he pops onto a podcast after failing to beat Celtic to take aim at the Rangers youths at Ibrox.
Rangers fans rage at Connor Goldson
It’s quite an incredible admission from Goldson and one that he needs to have a word in his ear about. Maybe the youngsters are starstruck?
Maybe they are just shy? Or maybe, just maybe, they are intimidated by meeting a first-team player and are unsure what to day. After all, they are just teenagers.
And the fact that he doesn’t even want to engage with them is telling within itself. And it left these Rangers fans really unimpressed:
Would be nice if he maybe could take some of his own advice tbh! I'm certain over the past 5 seasons that someone will have said to him about the same mistakes he makes over & over that lead to goals

Maybe there’s a reason so many youth players at Rangers don’t make it if they’re not taking in information or listening to senior players?

Wonder if this is why he was dropped?! Club probably had to sign off on the publication

I don’t care what he says. He can’t defend. We need a clear out & he’s first to go , he’s had enough chances. We need a fresh start & there’s nothing wrong with that.

Good leaders lead, good leaders also create the environment. How about you lose the chip on your shoulder & put the young kids at easy by saying good morning to them & asking them how they are getting on.

And to round up the hilarity, let’s not forget this cracker from James Tavernier:
No problem if this was John soutter everyone wouldn’t have a problem but goldson haters are looking for excuses! Our captain here tav no one is complaining here a rangers captain who is only ever to hit out with statement like this and say demands to high pic.twitter.com/8lFPFEwUnR
