Watch Connor Goldson’s bulletproof penalty vest get called into action vs Hibs and leave Celtic fans speechless

Rangers defender, Connor Goldson

Celtic fans have been left speechless after Rangers defender Connor Goldson escaped yet another penalty decision in a week where VAR has punished the Parkhead club.

Celtic suffered an injustice last Sunday after Tomoki Iwata was adjudged to have gained an advantage by allowing the ball to hit his arm when he had no idea where it actually was.

Bizarrely, this is something Goldson has gotten away with on numerous occasions over the last two seasons but last night against Hibs, it strangely wasn’t a handball offence that Goldson committed.

Have a watch of this:

Celtic fans cannot believe Connor Goldson’s luck

The Celtic fans on this thread on X were simply unmoved that Goldson escaped another penalty punishment.

The Rangers defender seems to be bulletproof whenever it comes to the match officials or even VAR catching him in the act.

The patterns of assistance that the Ibrox club have been getting over not just the course of this season, but the season before is simply astonishing.

In fact, its getting so bad that Barry Robson and even David Martindale are getting seriously peeved off with the inconsistencies of the refereeing technology.

I asked a question earlier this evening on whether or not VAR will ever improve in Scotland and with each passing post I write, I genuinely believe it won’t. And I’m not been joking.

In fact, from the outside looking in, it doesn’t seem as if there is an appetite from the SFA for anything to improve because the same mistakes keep happening week in, week out.

It looks like the Celtic fans will just need to suck this up and hope that Brendan Rodgers can make his team so good that even VAR will not be enough to stop their team winning the league and the Scottish Cup this season.
