‘Madness’ – BBC man reveals how Alex Rae embarrassed himself at full time after Celtic’s draw with Rangers

Glasgow Derbies do tend to have an element of craziness around them whenever Celtic and Rangers meet.

Over the course of the last few decades I have been watching them there is always controversy and flashpoints.

But normally it’s got to with the players and it was yesterday afternoon as Todd Cantwell started his nonsense with Callum McGregor.

But it was Alex Rae who let his mask slip at full time yesterday as the Rangers coach embarrassed himself in Ibrox.

What Alex Rae tried to do to Greg Taylor

BBC pundit, Richard Gordon, was speaking about the tussle between Cantwell and McGregor when he told how Rae tried to get himself involved as the Celtic players left the field of play.

Gordon said (Scottish Football Podcast), “There was a fair bit of drama at the end.

”It was Todd Cantwell. I’m not quite sure what was going on there. He did a bit of a Fabio Silva and then he he got involved with Greg Taylor as well.

”Taylor reacted, various others reacted. It took a fair bit to settle it all down.

”And then as the Celtic players were leaving the pitch, Alex Rae decided he wanted to get involved with Taylor as well.

”And eventually he was pushed clear by John Kennedy. Madness.”

A grown man trying to act the hard man as the Celtic team left the pitch.

Bravo Rae. But it was great to hear big John Kennedy stepped in and put Rae in his place because he should really know better.

Rae’s an experienced coach with a history in this game and he of all people should know that keeping your cool is extremely important.

  1. Alex ebt Rae little horrible scumbag from denniston and a bigot bitter b-st-rd showing off to his scum fans trying to be the hard man the guy is a coward and i seen it with my own eyes in duke st when a celtic fan put him in his place wee Rae sh-te himself as usual dirty rat and a bigot b-st-rd.

  2. John Kennedy has no shortage of detractors among the Celtic family but l will say this for the guy.
He has the player’s backs every and any time there’s any nonsense.
I bet wee rat face shat it from the big mhan cos he could spark most of that mob out wae a backward slap.
    F-ck-n legend !!!

  3. Perhaps Alex Rae is concerned that he is going to be under the microscope with regard to his avoidance of paying his tax. He is not credited with a high IQ along with little doubt that his obvious bigotry is transparent to anyone.

  4. Perhaps Rae is incapable of reflection or indeed any conscious thought. I would think that he is incredibly stupid with an IQ that would be lucky to reach double figures. That’s the only thing that would explain this, other than the fact that he is a bigot and an anti-Irish racist.

The Ibrox club should also be thoroughly ashamed of themselves, however, as the bitterness, bigotry and hatred from that club and much of its support does not allow for any self reflection. That is why they are known as Scotland’s Shame. Something about that club seriously infects the people who sign up to join them.

Since the SFA, the SPFL, some politicians and much of the media allow this hate infested club to get away with all this, then they are surely just as culpable. No wonder this country needs a Hate Bill. It is also incredible that other clubs are too afraid to speak out, with only a few admirable exceptions.

Scotland is still in the dark ages.
