”I’m told” – Phil Mac shares what Celtic really think of Rodgers SFA ban and Dermot Desmond’s next move

Celtic manager, Brendan Rodgers.

As Brendan Rodgers and Celtic process the SFA ban he received on Thursday it seems that plans are afoot by the club to ensure more accountability in the Scottish game.

The Celtic manager was dealt a one game ban and a suspended one game penalty which means he is free to take the Ibrox dugout for next weekend’s Glasgow Derby.

And as the Rangers fans raged about that, the Hoops support congratulated Celtic’s lawyer for pulling off such a move. But that is not the end of it.

Dermot Desmond’s SFA ‘long game’

However, it seems that Celtic are not finished. In fact, according to Phil Mac Giolla Bhain, Dermot Desmond is ‘still engaged’ and he has a long-term plan to deal with this.

In his latest blog, Phil said, “Based on what I’ve been told, I’m confident that if the forensic details of Celtic’s defence were made public, it would not look good at all for the world-class administrators and their superstar match officials.

”I’m told that Celtic considered yesterday a tactical win, but there’s now a long game that (Dermot) Desmond is driving.”

Phil has long said that the Celtic supremo had no intentions of letting this go.

Desmond has been involved in Rodgers’ disciplinary right from the start and I would love to see what this evidence Phil says Celtic have contains.

It must be explosive for the SFA to completely bottle throwing the book at the Celtic manager.

The title run in will be interesting and what will also be interesting is to see if the pattern of assistance that Rangers currently enjoy continues for the rest of this season.
