“Sh-t their pants”, “Serial failures” – Outstanding Follow Follow meltdown after Celtic beat The Rangers

Ibrox at Broomloan Road

I love days like these. The build up, hype and expectation of a Glasgow Derby is brilliant. Especially when the Rangers fans are confident of beating Celtic.

And my goodness weren’t these guys just so overconfident? We told this week how the lovely chaps on Follow Follow were getting ahead of themselves in the run up to the Celtic game.

They said Celtic were scared. They said Celtic were rattled. And many of them predicted an easy win for their team and that they would be top of the league be for the winter break.

Just how wrong can the get? With no fans in the stadium, the odds were always stacked against them but they had the three points in the bag. After all, we were scared.

Then up pops Paulo Bernardo and Kyogo Furuhashi and the ball is burst.

A thread titled, “A summary of where it went wrong” appeared on Follow Follow almost immediately after the full time whistle blew and it’s a thread of pain and fear.

It was so glorious that by the end of it, there was bear on bear action as they slaughtered the team and themselves alongside another healthy dose of referee paranoia. It is brilliant.

And just like liquidation, it’s the hope that kills them.
